FAQs

How do your bangle drops work?

-As we make our pieces, weʻll accumulate some inventory and once we feel like we have enough that we want to put out, we will announce a drop with those pieces!

How do I measure my bangle size?

Does it tarnish?

-All pieces are made with gold-filled wire (silver-filled to come soon) so they are tarnish resistant. For best care, keep pieces out of bodies of water with harsh chemicals or rinse them in fresh water immediately after the ocean or swimming in pools.

What are the materials?

-Jewelry is made of gold-filled wire and shells that are found empty on beaches and diving around Oʻahu. Pottery is made of a B-mix stoneware that is reduction fired to Cone 10.

Where are the shells sourced?

-Shells are sourced all over Oʻahu and are hand-picked and drilled for each piece.

Where is the 10% of profits going to?

-Any profits from our drops will be going straight towards giving back to the ecosystems that we collect our shells from. Kuleana Coral will be the first group that we donate a percentage of profits to.

Kuleana Coral Restoration is a group of fishermen, surfers, and ocean advocates working to restore, protect, and monitor Hawaiian coral reefs using modern science and indigenous management techniques.

Guided by the knowledge of coastal communities and our kuleana (responsibility) to the ocean, we develop scalable restoration methods unique to Hawai’i to sustain what sustains us: the reef.

Do you do custom orders?

-Custom orders will be considered on a case by case basis. Feel free to email or DM us on instagram with your requests but for most cases, pieces will be made by us as a means for artistic expression!
